General Opening Hours

Bolton Archives and Local Studies Service is located in the Bolton History Centre. Local Studies material is available whenever the History Centre is open.

  • Monday - 9am to 5pm
  • Tuesday - 9am to 5pm
  • Wednesday - 9.30am to 5pm
  • Thursday - 9am to 5pm
  • Friday - 9am to 5pm
  • Saturday - 9am to 5pm
  • Sunday - 10am to 4pm

We are also open Bank Holidays though we recommend you check before visiting to make sure

Bolton Archives and Local Studies service is based in the Bolton History Centre upstairs in the Museum to the rear of the Town Hall, on Le Mans Crescent .
