What's on

May 24, 2010

TV soap expert and former Fleet Street journalist, Sharon Marshall, is to share her secrets with an audience at Bolton Library.

The presenter for ITV’s This Morning will provide an evening of fun and gossip on Tuesday, June 1 as she promotes her new book Tabloid Girl.

After being a tabloid reporter for 10 years, including stints as the TV editor for the News of the World and writing a weekly column for The Sun entitled No Sex in the City, Sharon certainly has plenty of tales to tell about what goes on behind the scenes of a national newspaper.

Famous for doing, in her own words, some “Very Bad Things”; having a spectacularly lousy love life and being friends with Tara Palmer-Tomkinson - with whom she wrote The Naughty Girl’s Guide to Life - Sharon is sure to entertain and shock audiences with her memoirs.

Sharon will discuss her book at the Lecture Theatre, situated in the basement of Central Library, Le Mans Crescent, from 7pm to 9pm.

Tickets must be booked in advance and are priced £3, including refreshments.

Tickets are available from Bolton Central Library on 333173, email central.library@bolton.gov.uk or Sweetens Book Shop in Deansgate.

Representatives from Sweetens will also attend the event to sell copies of Tabloid Girl.
