Bolton’s museums are the place to be this Easter with a range of family events.
From Saturday, March 27 to Saturday, April 10, Bolton Museum, Aquarium and Archive and the central children’s library will host a picture trail and competitions.
Also at the museum there will be craft activities every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoon.
All midweek activities take place at noon, 1pm and 2pm except Tuesday, March 30 when the activity will take place at 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Saturday workshops will be held between 1.30pm and 4pm and it is advisable to book on the day for each activity at the museum reception desk.
The Easter fun continues at Smithills Hall with Victorian Week from Tuesday, March 30 to Friday, April 2 and including Sunday, April 4.
Children can become a Victorian servant for the day or experience an authentic Victorian classroom each afternoon at 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Entry is free for children and admission for adults is £3 and £2 for concessions. Classroom sessions must be booked on the day to secure a place.
Families can also enjoy a Tudor style egg hunt and egg painting at Hall i’ th’ Wood on Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10.
Entry fee is £2 for adults and £1 for children and concessions.
