Bolton Museum, Aquarium and Archive is going football crazy this Easter with two special weeks of events, quizzes and activities all about the FA cup.
The events celebrate the museum’s new exhibition Saved for the Nation: the Story of the FA Cup which is on tour from the National Football Museum in Preston.
The exhibition, which is on display until Saturday 23 May, also contains an array of objects relating to Bolton Wanderers and their FA Cup triumphs.
During the two weeks of the Easter holidays (Saturday 4 to Saturday 18 April) there will be loads of free, family activities including quizzes; a special FA Cup celebration afternoon; an appearance by Lofty the Lion and football themed stories at Central Library.
Free arts and craft activities will also be held every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday during the holidays from 1pm – 4pm.
All afternoon workshops are expected to be very busy. Participants are advised to go along to the museum on the day of the event to book a place. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
There are also plenty of activities going on at Bolton Museums’ other venues too.
