2010 Commemoration

In recent years the anniversary of the disaster has been marked by a service held at St Bartholomew’s Parish Church in  Westhoughton. Many of the victims are buried there.  A memorial to the unnamed dead stands in the churchyard.

Programme of events

Because 2010 is the one hundredth anniversary of the disaster; commemorative talks and events will be taking place in Westhoughton and in Bolton.
